I'm using the grisaille/glazing technique for this new series of oil paintings I'm doing. It's an ambitious project consisting of 6 large paintings. This first one is the baby measuring only 40X28 in. It's my test piece where I can work out difficulties before I tackle the larger pieces.
Second and final application for the grisaille. All the details are finished. I'll now begin adding the color glazes. Fingers crossed.
Final art. There are as many as 10 glazes on some of the leaves. I'm very happy with the results.
